100% Operational Uptime

Reflect on and determine your housing needs

Achieving reliability is critical. Unfortunately, competitive pressures can lead a hosting provider to make unrealistic promises, such as 100% uptime.

If a hosting provider advertises 99.99% uptime, it has a margin of about 53 minutes of downtime per year.

It includes server downtime due to regularly scheduled maintenance or unexpected disasters (such as denial-of-service attacks or overly popular websites that overload the server).

The higher the advertised uptime, the lower the margin for errors and catastrophes.

Everyone knows that Internet connections go down and websites become temporarily unavailable for all sorts of reasons, both intentional and unforeseeable.

If the provider advertises 100% uptime, ask them what measures they have taken to guarantee it.

Their response should include the following terms: full redundancy, mirroring, disk arrays, air conditioning, system administrators and uninterruptible power supply. However, keep in mind that there is no such thing as 100% uptime.
