Free domain names - subdomain

Sometimes, some providers offer free domain names, usually in the format [yourname.website2.me]. A domain name in this format is also known as a subdomain.

A subdomain is free and functional on the Internet, but it has its limitations:

▸ The professional image will not be as strong as with a custom domain name.
▸ It will not be easy for your visitors to find your website, as they will now have to remember your website name in addition to your host URL.
▸ Furthermore, you won’t be able to transfer the subdomain to another web host.
